Hello Matthew, thank you for the order and feedback. However, the mugs do hold up to normal microwave usage such as 1-2 minutes at a time. I just tested another of the Road Kill Cafe mugs with water in it in a microwave for about 1 minute and the magic color comes back within 10-20 minutes after I removed the hot water.
If for some reason the mug sent is defective, we would be happy to send you a replacement mug. Please provide me more details about how long you microwaved it and what was in it… If possible please provide me a photo of the mug without anything in it so I can see what it looks like in a cool state.

As stated prior, the mug itself is great.. to clairify, it appears that the mug was microwaved for “1 minute” repeatedly with no liquid in it. Caused the ink to completely fade… (not a cup for a 9 year old apparently) Jeremy was extreamly helpful with the situation and i plan to buy a couple more mugs in the near future..

Hello Matthew, thanks again for the order and for working with us to resolve the issue! FYI to others, the mugs should be filled with a fluid (water, coffee, etc) and then they can be microwaved 1-2 mins at a time safely.
